ACADEMY PHYSIOTHERAPIST

RIGHT TO DREAM, GHANA

Right to Dream Academy is hiring an Academy Physiotherapist/Certified Athletic Trainer.

​

The role involves leading physio- and medical across multiple age groups and collaborating with the sports medicine and performance team to provide comprehensive medical care.

This includes injury diagnosis, rehabilitation, training coverage, and contributing to our athletes' performance enhancement overall at Right to Dream’s campus in Old Akrade, Ghana.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee injury diagnosis and rehabilitation for all academy squads, leading initiatives as assigned.

  • Manage training and match coverage, including all necessary documentation.

  • Lead warm-ups and assist performance coach with strength and conditioning initiatives

  • Engage with sport science and data collection (RPE, termly performance testing)

  • Implement student development plans and IDPs alongside technical and performance staff

  • Drive best practices in rehabilitation and performance from the Right to Dream global organization

  • Provide general medical support and accompany students on medical trips, as necessary

APPLICATION PROCESS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

​​Competencies Required:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physiotherapy or Athletic Training

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a sports setting, preferably football (soccer).

  • Team player, highly motivated, and adaptable.

  • Solution focused, able to handle an everchanging environment.

  • Effective and clear cross-cultural communication with coaches and key stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in strength and conditioning and/or Sport Science.

  • Prior experience with youth athletes and working within a multi-disciplinary team

  • Familiarity with data collection/research.

  • Prior experience abroad.

  • FIFA Safeguarding Certification or equivalent training

  • Emergency medicine/first aide experience
