Football Innovation Analyst

Right to Dream (RTD) is looking for a Football Innovation Analyst to help push the boundaries of modern football performance across our global community of academies and clubs. This is a rare opportunity to operate at the intersection of elite football, data, creativity, and future-thinking, shaping how innovation becomes real impact on the pitch.

In this cross-continental role, you will lead and embed set-piece research and performance innovation across RTD environments.

Working closely with first-team coaches, analysts, and technical leaders, you will help ensure that insights, research, and emerging ideas are translated into practical solutions that improve match outcomes and accelerate player development.

This role is hands-on, collaborative, and strategically important. You will act as a connector across RTD clubs and academies, linking people, ideas, and best practices while ensuring innovation is implemented, scaled, and sustained.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead RTD’s research and innovation work within set-piece performance across all academies and clubs.

  • Work with coaches and technical staff to define and prioritize key performance questions.

  • Analyze current routines and identify opportunities to improve performance and development outcomes.

  • Design, test, and refine new strategies in collaboration with International Academy and first-team staff.

  • Translate analysis, research, and emerging ideas into clear, practical actions.

  • Act as a connector across RTD environments, sharing insights and best practices.

  • Conduct match and opponent analysis when required.

  • Drive long-term research into global football trends and marginal gains.

  • Leverage performance data, video, and AI-supported tools.

  • Spend 3–4 periods per year embedded within RTD academies and clubs to understand context, build relationships, and support implementation on the ground.
     

Location: Flexible (with international travel periods across Denmark, Egypt, Ghana, and US)
Reporting to: Group Head of Football – RTD Group

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Football-relevant background with 3+ years ‘experience with analysis, data, research, or performance environments.

  • Solid experience using data or analysis to influence football performance.

  • Experience in elite or high-performance football environments (academy or club)

  • Experience designing and implementing performance or innovation initiatives.

  • Experience with performance data, video analysis, and AI-supported tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Curiosity and innovation mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Strong communication skills and cultural awareness.
